About us

  • Groucho’s is a family run ‘olde worlde’ pub situated in the heartland of the Orchard County of Armagh.

  • Located on the Seventeenth Century Market Square of Richhill.

  • These premises have been evolving for some four hundred years, from what was once a hilltop tavern and coaching inn into a diverse Ulster/European style Café/Bar.

  • Catering for all tastes and generations, be it an Italian Specialist Coffee, Local Craft Beers & Ciders, great food or something a bit stronger from our extensive listing.

  • Historically linked by tunnel to Richhill Castle, Ulsters first non fortified manor house (1665). These premises share much of the history & secret comings & goings of the 'Big House' of which there are many dating back to the day’s when Richhill stood high in the political, social & economic scene of the island of Ireland.

  • At Groucho’s we pride ourselves by using local produce when & wherever possible, all cooked from fresh on the premises by head chef Mervyn Steenson. A back to basics policy is employed to produce a wide variety of both modern & traditional dishes, to suit all the family with vegetarian & healthy options available all year round. Weekly specials that reflect the seasons produce are a great hit with both our locals & visitors, with our homemade chips & french fried onions perfectly complementing any of our dishes.

  • The staff at Groucho’s On The Square pride themselves on their friendly service and warm welcome.

  • Making it a perfect location to spend a few hours on your visit to the apple county of Armagh.
